Storytellers Storyteller Pottery is the wonderful and exquisite art form of intricate detail and painstaking creation. It generally starts with the clay and sand being dried, ground and sifted before mixing with water to become the clay medium. Then they are hand coiled or molded, dried, sometimes fired, and hand painted. SOMÉ Gallery is very fortunate to offer some of the finest storyteller pottery available today. Vangie Suina is a full-blooded Native American born into the Cochiti Pueblo in the mid-1960's. She was taught the art of clay work and pottery from her Mother, Louise Suina, who passed along the techniques passed down for generations. Vabngie specializes in storytellers, turtles and drums, and has had her work featured ion several publications as well as garnered awards for her beautiful work.
